What “custom” really means in a tile shower
A custom shower is not just a fancy tile choice. It is a shower built to your exact dimensions, with the niche where you want it, the bench at the height you want, the curb you want (or no curb at all), and a waterproofing system designed for that build. We plan it with you and execute it cleanly.
Common custom shower features
Walk-in / curbless designs, double showers, large single niches, multi-shelf niches, integrated benches, accent feature walls, ceiling tile, bullnose-free finishes using metal trim, linear drains, and large-format slab-look porcelain. We build the option that fits the room and the budget.
How we plan a custom shower
We start with measurements and the way the bathroom is used. From there we map out tile sizes, grout joints, niche placement, valve position, slope, and drain location. The plan goes on the wall in pencil before any tile is cut.
Materials for custom showers
Porcelain in large-format or slab looks is the most popular choice on Long Island right now. Marble and natural stone still have a strong following for high-end bathrooms. Glass and patterned tile show up most often as niche backs or accent strips.
